Welcome to Almost Home Animal Shelter, located in the heart of Pennsauken. Our mission is simple: to provide a safe and loving temporary home for abandoned and neglected animals. Since our establishment in 2010, we have been dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and cats and finding them their forever homes.
At Almost Home Animal Shelter, we operate as a no-kill shelter, meaning we do not euthanize any animals unless they are suffering from a medical condition that cannot be treated. Every animal that comes through our doors is given the necessary medical care, socialization, and training to ensure they have the best chance at finding a loving home.
We offer a variety of services to our community, including adoptions, volunteer opportunities, and education programs. Our adoption process includes a thorough application and home visit to ensure our animals are going to the best possible home. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before being placed in their forever home.
Volunteers play a crucial role in our organization, and we welcome individuals who are passionate about animal welfare to join our team. Whether you are a hands-on volunteer or have a specific skill such as photography or event planning, there is a place for you at Almost Home Animal Shelter.
In addition to our rescue efforts, we are committed to educating the public on responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering. Through our outreach programs, we hope to reduce the number of homeless animals and create a more compassionate community.
We are truly grateful for the support of our community and cannot continue our lifesaving work without their generosity. We rely on donations from individuals, corporations, and grants to keep our doors open and continue saving animals in need.
Thank you for visiting Almost Home Animal Shelter’s Yelp page and learning about our organization. We invite you to join us in our mission to give every animal a second chance at a happy and healthy life. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals and create a more compassionate world.
