Welcome to the Animal Welfare Society of Kerr County in Kerrville. Our mission is to provide shelter, care, and adoption services for homeless animals while promoting responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter efforts. We have been serving the Kerrville community since 1980 and have become a trusted and respected organization in the area.
At the Animal Welfare Society of Kerr County, we take in dogs and cats who have been abandoned, surrendered, or found as strays. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide these animals with the love, care, and attention they need until they can find their forever homes. We also offer a low-cost spay/neuter program to help reduce the number of homeless pets in our community.
When you visit our facility, you will see that our animals are not kept in cages, but instead have comfortable living areas where they can interact and socialize with each other and our staff. We believe that this environment helps to reduce stress and promote a happy and healthy lifestyle for our animals.
We also have an on-site clinic that offers veterinary services to our shelter animals, as well as low-cost vaccinations, microchipping, and de-worming for the public. This allows us to provide quality care to our animals and also serves as a resource for pet owners in the community.
