Welcome to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Serving Erie County, located in Tonawanda, New York! Since 1867, our organization has been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding loving homes for animals in need.
Our state-of-the-art facility spans over 52,000 square feet and houses a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, and even farm animals. We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of care for our animals, with a dedicated team of veterinarians, behaviorists, and shelter staff.
At the SPCA Serving Erie County, we are committed to promoting kindness and compassion towards animals through our various programs and services. Our Adoption Center allows individuals and families to meet and adopt their new furry companions, while our Humane Education program teaches children the importance of responsible pet ownership.
In addition, we offer a variety of affordable veterinary services to the community, including spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and emergency care. Our animal behavior team is also available to provide behavior consultations and training for animals in need of additional support.
Our organization relies heavily on the support and generosity of our community. We offer various volunteer opportunities, as well as fundraising events throughout the year. You can also support our mission by making a donation or becoming a member of the SPCA Serving Erie County.
